Because of the controlled nature of research compounds and the need to preserve chain of custody, Modern Bio, LLC operates under a no-return, no-refund policy. Products that have left our facility cannot be returned to inventory and cannot be resold. Please review your order carefully before submitting it, and contact us with any questions before purchase.
All Sales Are Final
When you place an order, you acknowledge that the products you are purchasing are intended exclusively for in vitro and laboratory research and that all sales are final upon submission. Modern Bio does not offer cancellations, returns, exchanges, or refunds after an order has been placed, except as expressly described in this policy or as required by applicable law.
Damaged or Incorrect Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, contains the wrong items, or is missing items, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can investigate. Include your order number and clear photos showing the issue (the outer packaging, the inner packaging, and the affected product). After reviewing the details, we may, at our discretion, send a replacement shipment for the affected items at no additional cost. Cash refunds are not provided. Reports made after the 48-hour window may not be eligible for a replacement.
EU and UK Distance Selling Exemption
The right of withdrawal that typically applies to distance sales under EU and UK consumer-protection regulations does not extend to sealed laboratory chemicals supplied for research use, which are not suitable for return for health, hygiene, or safety reasons once the seal is broken or the chain of custody is disturbed. As a result, the standard 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to Modern Bio products.
Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Disputing a legitimate charge with your bank or card issuer constitutes a breach of our Terms and Conditions. If a chargeback is filed, we will submit documentation, including order confirmations, shipping records, and delivery confirmations, to contest it.
